DUNKERTON, Iowa (AP) — A 41-year-old woman is accused of stealing from the U.S. Postal Service while working as a postal clerk at the post office in Dunkerton.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says Susan Knapp, of Readlyn, is charged with theft. Knapp declined to comment Friday. Her attorney didn't immediately return a message from The Associated Press.

The Sheriff's Office says an investigation shows that Knapp stole more than $2,700 from the sale of money orders and stamps for her own use between March and October 2015. She's since left the post office.
