NE Iowa Woman Sought for Alcohol/Child Endangerment

Fayette County Authorities are looking for an Eldorado woman, wanted for allegedly buying alcohol for minors.

Following an investigation, 36 year old Melissa Shanks was charged with supplying alcohol to a minor and child endangerment.

The investigation revealed that Shanks bought alcohol for several juveniles, ranging in age from 12 to 16, and allowed them to consume the alcohol at her home.

Shanks is also accused of letting three juveniles under 13 years old to operate a motor vehicle by themselves, to visit friends in another county. The Department of Human Services was called into the investigation and found that Shanks had endangered the children's lives by her actions.

A warrant has been issued for her arrest.
