Two Fayette County men have now been arrested for trying to lure young children into their vehicle at a city park.

The incident happened Friday, May 29th; the Fayette County Sheriff got a report of a suspicious vehicle near the Wadena city park; the occupants of the vehicle were asking children at the park if they wanted a ride home.

Officers found the suspect vehicle in Elgin. The driver, 59 year old Doney Howard of Elgin, was initially taken into custody on charges of OWI 2nd offense, driving while revoked, no proof of financial liability, no proof of insurance, and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

His passenger, 54 year old Glen Little, also of Elgin, was cited for open container.

Following an investigation, on Monday (June 8) the Fayette County Sheriff took both men into custody on warrants.

Little was charged with enticing away a minor; Howard was charged with aiding and abetting to enticing a minor.

Both men are currently being held in the Fayette County Jail: Little on $5,000 Bond and Howard on $4,000 Bond until their appearance before a magistrate.
