NE Iowa Man I.D.ed in Fatal Accident

A Northeast Iowa man has died in a two-vehicle accident in Jones County.

It happened at about 9pm Wednesday on Highway 151 near Monticello.

A car driven by 90 year old John Talbert of Cascade was northbound in the southbound lane, when it collided head-on with a pickup driven by 52 year old Douglas Ninneman of Reedsburg. Talbert was killed in the accident.

Ninneman was flown to University Hospitals in Iowa City, but a condition report was not available.

The accident is still under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
