NE Iowa Man Arrested for Having Sex with 12 Year Old

A young Arlington man has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 12 year old girl.

The Fayette County Sheriff conducted the investigation, which took about a week.

Authorities determined that 19 year old Tyler Tessmer of Arlington, solicited a girl to engage in a sex act with him.

A search of Tessmer's residence turned up electronic devices and a large amount of drug paraphernalia. A warrant was issued for Tessmer's arrest, and he was taken into custody at a home in Cresco.

Tessmer is being charged with Lascivious Acts with a Child, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is now being held in the Fayette County jail.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff, the investigation is ongoing, and more charges could be filed.
