NE Iowa Family Hurt in Linn Co. Accident

A Northeast Iowa family was taken to a hospital Monday afternoon (Nov. 12), following a one-vehicle accident in Linn County.

It happened at about 1:30pm On Coggon Road, near Price Lane, east of Troy Mills. A vehicle driven by 20 year old Chaya Bekerman of Postville was westbound, when it left the road and ended up in the ditch.

Bekerman along with her passengers, 25 year old Menachem Bekerman and a 2 month old infant, all from Postville, were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids with non-life threatening injuries.

Chaya Bekerman is being charged with Failure to Maintain Control.

According to the Linn County Sheriff, all of the occupants were wearing seat belts, plus an airbag deployed.
