NE Iowa Drug Investigation Leads to High Speed Chase
Waukon Police have released details of a drug investigation from last week, that led to a high speed chase through Allamakee County, and the arrest of an area man.
The incident began at about 10:30pm last Wednesday (Oct. 3rd), when a multi-agency narcotics investigation was conducted, by the Northeast Iowa Drug Task Force.
During the investigation, a Waukon Police officer attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by 20 year old Mason Frick of Waukon. Frick tried to elude officers, by leading them on a high speed pursuit, starting in Waukon, going through Luana, and finally ending in Postville.
Frick was taken into custody and charged with a Controlled Substance Violation, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Eluding, Driving While his License is Revoked, and numerous traffic offenses.
He was held in the Allamakee County Jail in Waukon.
Agencies that were involved in the arrest, were the Clayton County Sheriff, Allamakee County Sheriff, Waukon Police, Monona Police, Postville Police and Iowa State Patrol.
