NE Iowa Driver Charged in Recent Accident

A Ridgeway driver is being charged with causing an accident in Winneshiek County, when he attempted to pass another vehicle.

This happened Friday afternoon (Feb. 14) on Highway 9 in rural Winneshiek County.

59 year old Daniel Hauber of Ridgeway attempted to pass a car driven by 37 year old Dustin Pomeroy of McGregor, when Hauber's pickup stalled. Both were headed west.

As another vehicle was approaching from the east, Hauber tried to re-enter the westbound lane, but sideswiped Pomeroy's car.

No one was injured; Hauber is being charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
