Buchanan County authorities have arrested a Lamont man, for an accident last week in Lamont.


Shortly after 2pm Tuesday (Oct. 16), Buchanan County Deputies were called to a traffic accident at the intersection of Jackson Street and Pine Street.

A van driven by 31 year old Tate Easley was driving west on Pine, when he attempted a right turn onto Jackson. He was unable to negotiate the turn, and struck the concrete bridge rail on Jackson, which disabled the 2003 Chrysler Town and Country van in the roadway.

Easley left the scene, but was found a short time later.

After an investigation, he was subsequently arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense, and 2 counts of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without the Owner's Consent. Easley was also charged with Failure to Maintain Control, No Proof of Insurance, and Failure to Have Valid Driver License.
