Name Released in Eastern Iowa Fatality

We now know the name of an Eastern Iowa woman who was killed in a one-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning.

According to the Linn County Sheriff, 56 year old Rosemary Eiben of Central City, was driving east on Sawyer Road, just east of Central City, when her car went out of control, entered a ditch, and overturned, coming to rest on a frozen pond.

Eiben, the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities note that she was not wearing a seat belt.

The accident is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff.
