Name Released In Deadly Eastern Iowa Accident

Authorities have released the name of an Eastern Iowa man, who died in a one-vehicle weekend traffic accident near Bellevue.

20 year old Alex Behr of Sabula was a passenger in a Jeep Cherokee, driven by 20 year old Andy Ahrens of Maquoketa.

The SUV ran off the road Sunday afternoon on Highway 52, and crashed into a tree. Behr was pronounced dead at the scene; Ahrens was taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol, with assistance from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Bellevue Police Department, and Iowa DNR.
