An Eastern Iowa driver is being charged in connection with an accident Sunday afternoon (May 31) that shut down Interstate 380 for a while.


Just after 3:30pm Sunday, the Linn County sheriff and emergency workers responded to a traffic accident on I-380, near Center Point.

36 year old Dustin Kruger of Fairfax, was driving an SUV southbound, when a camper he was pulling, turned onto it's side. The camper jackknifed with the SUV, blocking both lanes of traffic.

Kruger was taken to St. Luke's Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. He is being charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
