Motorist Rolls Vehicle in Attempt to Avoid Hitting a Deer

A motorist totaled their vehicle in rural Fayette County, when they veered to avoid colliding with a deer.

The accident happened at about 12:15am Wednesday (May 8) On Highway 18, northeast of West Union. A vehicle driven by 23 year old Mersadie Goodwin, was westbound when she swerved to avoid striking a deer, and lost control. The vehicle went into a ditch, and rolled onto it's top.

Goodwin was not hurt, but her 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser was totaled. The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the West Union Fire Department and Tri-State Ambulance service.
