Motorist Charged After Making U-turn, Rolling Vehicle

A motorist is being charged with causing a rollover accident in rural Fayette County.

It happened just before 3:30pm Thursday (Feb. 9) on Highway 150, south of Eldorado.

21 year old Jordan Nelson of Decorah attempted to make a u-turn, but his vehicle left the road, entered a ditch, and rolled onto the driver's side.

Nelson sustained minor injuries; the vehicle, a 2005 GMC Envoy, had an estimated $5,000 in damages.

Nelson has been charged with Failure to Maintain Control.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the West Union Fire Department and Tri-State Ambulance.
