DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) — Police data shows Dubuque is on pace to see more reports of gunfire this year compared to 2014.

But some residents say they still feel safe despite the rising number of gunfire reports.

Police received two calls of shots fired on Tuesday. No arrests have been made in either incident.

Officers responded to a report of a person shot in the stomach around 6 p.m. Tuesday. An injured 26-year-old was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

Police then responded to a second report of shots fired around four hours later. Bullets damaged a vehicle and a home, but no injuries were reported.

The shootings on Tuesday bring 2015's shots-fired incidents to 20. There were 21 last year.
