More Car versus Deer Accidents in NE Iowa
Deer continue to pose problems for area motorists. The Fayette County Sheriff reports two more car vs deer accidents.
The latest occurred at about 9:30pm Tuesday, on Highway 150, south of Fayette. A car driven by 20 year old Bethani Jacobsen of Wauconda, Illinois, was headed north when a deer entered the roadway, and was struck. No one was injured, but there was $4,000 in damage to the car.
Just before 9pm Monday, the sheriff got a report of a car/deer accident on Filmore Road, southeast of West Union. A car driven by Garrett Crandall of West Union was going west when a deer ran onto the road. Again, no one was injured, but damages totaled $7,000.
