Beyonce, Post Malone, and now.....MGK??? That's might be a name you never thought you'd hear goin' country, but the genre-bending artist has recently dipped his toes in.

Some might be shocked that the rapper turned punk rocker covered "There's Your Trouble" by the Chicks (formerly Dixie Chicks), but MGK has never really allowed himself to be confined by genres. See the unexpected CMA Fest performance in Nashville below.

One fan sums it up. "This gives life!! Love seeing him be himself, unapologetically and unashamedly! Never would have guessed he’d like the Dixie Chicks (“The Chicks” now) and this song. But, I love him even more, for this! The Chicks had played a big part in my life during a difficult time, and so has mgk. This is so fantastic!!"

This might be a shock but he's teased hints of new music in the Nashville scene before. Recently, Jelly Roll was interviewed on Taste of Country Nights with Evan Paul and dropped that he was working on something "southern fried" with MGK and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

The "Wild Ones" singer also confirmed that he and the rapper-turned-punk rocker have worked together quite a bit.

So, will we hear some more country tunes from MGK in the future? No official word, but it does seem possible since the artists has shown his appreciation for the genre.

Maybe the laid-back country life will suit the wild rock star. He has been known for his bad-boy lifestyle in rap and most recently, pop punk. Who knows, we might see him in a cowboy hat soon?
