Man wanted Nationwide Arrested in West Union

Fayette County authorities have arrested a Minnesota man, who had been wanted on a nationwide felony warrant.

At about 3pm Saturday, the Fayette County sheriff, with assistance from West Union Police, responded to a home on Franklin Street in West Union, where they took 22 year old Mathew Todd Vreize into custody.

Vrieze, of nearby Spring Grove, Minnesota, had been wanted on original charges of possession of hallucinogenic drugs, schedule 1,2,3 and 4, and not a small amount of marijuana.

Vrieze was wanted on a nationwide felony warrant from Houston, County, Minnesota, on violation of release conditions.

He was taken to the Fayette County Jail in West Union, where he awaits extradition to Minnesota.
