Man Hurt in Semi Rollover at Milk Plant

The Fayette County Sheriff is looking into a semi rollover at a Northeast Iowa milk business that put a young man in the hospital.

Just before 2:30pm Monday (Feb. 27), authorities got a report of an accident at AMPI, located along Highway 3, south of Arlington.

21 year old Casey Roy Jones of Oelwein was operating a capacity yard truck while towing a trailer loaded with milk. Jones attempted to make a U-turn in the parking lot, when the unit overturned onto the drivers' side.

Jones was taken to the Manchester Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Damages were estimated at $25,000. The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the Iowa DNR, Strawberry Point Police, and Strawberry Point Fire Department.
