
Man Charged with Felony For Hitting a Child with a Paddle
An area man has been arrested on charges that he struck and injured a young child with a wooden paddle over the weekend.
The incident happened Saturday (May 25) at a rural Fayette residence. 25 year old Johnathan Marmann of Fayette is accused of striking a three year old child with a wooden paddle, causing some bruising.
The assault happened at Marmann's home. He was arrested Monday (May 27) by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office for a charge of Child Endangerment Causing Injury which is a Class "D" Felony.
Marmann was held in the Fayette County jail until his initial court appearance.
