Man Arrested After Leading a Short Chase
A Northeast Iowa man faces a list of charges after leading authorities on a short chase late last night (Tuesday, Jan. 23).
Just after 11pm, the Fayette County Sheriff received a report of a Jeep being driven eratically on Highway 18, south of Alpha, near the Chickasaw County line.
A responding deputy attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the driver kept going. He was eventually stopped.
The driver, identified as 22 year old Daniel Cullen Jr. of West Union, was allegedly intoxicated, and had a concealed firearm. Cullen was charged with Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense, Carrying Weapons, Eluding a Law Enforcement Vehicle, Driving on the Wrong Side of a Highway, and Open Container.
Cullen was held until his initial court appearance.
