Man Arrested After Inappropriate Contact at Event

Johnson County authorities have filed indecent contact charges against a man who inappropriately touched 2 young girls at an event last weekend.

During Swisher Fun Days on Saturday (July 28) witnesses told the sheriff's office that they saw John Schulte of Des Moines, lift a 4 year old girl and a 10 year old girl, over his head, touching his face to both of the girls' groin areas.

Schulte allegedly told the young girls he loved them, and wanted to take care of them.

When Schulte was confronted by a witness and told to leave, he picked up the 4 year old girl and appeared to be leaving with her.

Schulte was approached by another witness, who took the girl from him, returning her to her mother.

Schulte is being charged with 2 counts of indecent contact with a child, public intoxication and 2 counts of simple assault.
