DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — The North American Aerospace Defense Command says it will hold an exercise Wednesday in the sky over central Iowa.

The flights are scheduled to take place between Fort Dodge and Waterloo. People may notice low-flying fighter jets near military or military contracted civilian aircraft.

NORAD has conducted such practice sessions throughout Canada and the United States since the start of Operation Noble Eagle, NORAD's response to the terrorist attacks that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001.
