
Lots of Damage in 3 Vehicle Accident in Calmar
A Southwest Wisconsin man is being charged with causing a 3 vehicle accident in Calmar.
It happened shortly after 4pm Thursday (March 28), at the intersection of Highway 52 and Maryville Street in Calmar.
According to the Winneshiek County Sheriff, a semi driven by 61 year old Norman Gee of Hawkeye, stopped for a train. 48 year old Kathleen Hefel of Dyersville was behind the semi.
An SUV driven by 46 year old Matthew Long of Platteville, rear-ended Hefel's vehicle, pushing into the semi.
No one was injured. The total estimated damage to the 3 vehicles was $16,200.
Long was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
