Local Resident Arrested on Warrant for Assault

A local man has been arrested by Oelwein Police on a warrant for an assault charge.

At about 1pm Thursday (Dec. 7), 42 year old Michael Miller of Oelwein was taken into custody on a Fayette County warrant. The original charge was Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

The arrest was made after an Oelwein Police officer's interaction with Miller in the 1500 block of South Frederick Avenue.
