Local Police Respond to Thefts, Vandals, and No-Contact Violation
The Oelwein Police Department reports an arrest, and 4 investigations involving thefts or criminal mischief.
On Sunday (April 25) officers were sent to the 200 block of 5th Avenue NE for a domestic disturbance. As a result, 38 year old Dustin Harger of Oelwein was arrested for Violation of a Domestic Abuse-No Contact Order.
Oelwein Police were called out four times Friday to look into reports of theft and vandalism.
The thefts were reported in the 10 block of 4th Avenue SE and the 300 block of South Frederick. The vandalisms were reported in the 100 block of East Charles, and the 400 block of 13th Avenue NW.
All of the incidents remain under investigation.
