Local Police Arrest Man for Domestic Abuse

Oelwein Police report one person was arrested following a weekend domestic disturbance.

At about 8:30pm Sunday (July 24) Oelwein officers were called to the 10 block of 2nd Street NW. There, they arrested 42 year old Robert Latham of Oelwein on charges of Domestic Abuse Assault 3rd Offense, Obstruction of Emergency Communications, and Public Intoxication.

An Oelwein man was taken into custody at about 8pm Friday (July 22) on a Buchanan County warrant for contempt of court. 37 year old Randy Myers was arrested following an incident in the 100 block of East Charles Street.

And Oelwein police issued a correction to an earlier press release: officers arrested 39 year old Jeramy Warren of Oelwein at about 2pm last Monday (July 18), on a Chickasaw County warrant for Failure to Appear.
