Local People Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

Oelwein Police have arrested two area residents on outstanding warrants.

At about 4pm Sunday (March 26), 36 year old Heather Claussen of Oelwein was taken into custody in the 500 block of 1st Street SE. Claussen was wanted on a Pottawattamie County warrant for Failure to Appear; the original charge was Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana.

And shortly after 8pm Sunday, 20 year old Austin Troendle of Hawkeye was arrested in the 100 block of 1st Avenue NW in Oelwein. He was wanted on an Allamakee County warrant for a Probation Violation; the original charge was Criminal Mischief, 4th Degree.
