Local Motorist Injured After Striking Deer Head-on

A traffic accident involving a deer has injured a Northeast Iowa woman.

It happened just after 11am Friday (April 27) in rural Fayette County near Wadena.

72 year old Patricia Dillon of Strawberry Point was the driver of a 2017 Ford Focus, that collided with a deer that came out of a ditch, and struck her car head-on.

Dillon sustained minor injuries; she was treated at the scene.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted at the scene by the Fayette Ambulance and Wadena First Responders.
