
Local Man Nabbed for Theft; Another Incident Reported
Oelwein Police have arrested a local man for theft. Authorities are also investigating another unrelated theft incident.
Shortly after 9:30 am Saturday (March 20), officers responded to the report of a theft in the 100 block of 7th Street SW. No other details were released.

In a separate incident, police officers took 36 year old David Staake of Oelwein into custody on a Marshalltown Police Department warrant. The original charge was 3rd-degree theft. According ot a police report, Staake was arrested around 11:30pm Saturday after a traffic stop in the 10 block of 7th Street SE in Oelwein.
