Local Man Dies in Motorcycle/Tractor Accident

An Oelwein man has died in a weekend accident involving his motorcycle and a tractor.

It happened just before 6:30pm Saturday on Clayton Road near Garnavillo, in rural Clayton County.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 50 year old David Bushaw of Oelwein was driving his motorcycle westbound, rounding a curve, when his bike crossed the center line and collided head-on with a tractor driven by 18 year old Joshua Herzog of Garnavillo.

Herzog was not injured. Bushaw was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is still under investigation.
