Local Man Charged in Courthouse Disturbance
An Oelwein man has now been charged with causing a disturbance at the Fayette County Courthouse in West Union.
At about 11am last Monday, Feb. 2nd, the Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call concerning a person who was making a disturbance on the third floor of the county courthouse.
When deputies arrived, they found 33 year old Christopher Voges of Oelwein outside the building, having an argument with a woman.
During the investigation, officers determined that Voges was acting in a disorderly manner in the courthouse; he was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Voges was taken to the Fayette County jail.
