Local Man Busted For Theft in Recent Burglaries

An Oelwein man has been arrested in connection with some recent burglaries.

At about 6pm Monday (May 14), 33 year old Zachary Smith was taken into custody by Oelwein Police on a charge of Theft, 2nd Degree.

The arrest is a culmination from 2 burglary investigations.

Smith was also wanted on a Fayette County Sheriff's warrant, for Domestic Assault.
