Local Man Arrested For Domestic Assault

A local man has been taken into custody for an assault.

On Thursday (Dec. 26), the Oelwein Police Department received a call, reporting a domestic disturbance in the first block of 6th Street NE.

Following an investigation, 44 year old James Wright of Oelwein was arrested on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, 3rd or Subsequent Offense.

The charge is a Class "D" Felony.
