An eastern Iowa inmate who walked away from a hospital earlier this week, has turned himself back in, to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.

At about 2:30 this morning (Thursday, July 19), Jeffrey Blozvich surrendered to authorities for an outstanding warrant for Aggravated theft.

Blozvich was transferred from the Linn County jail to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids last Thursday (July 12), being held on detainer while receiving medical treatment.

The hospital staff was instructed to notify the Linn County Sheriff's Office when Blozvich was to be released, so he could be taken back to jail.

However before they could do that, Blozvich walked away from the hospital on Monday (July 16). Authorities had been asking the public for any information on the fugitive's whereabouts.
