Large Fire in Oelwein Destroys Storage Building
Firefighters are still at the scene of a large blaze on the southwest side of Oelwein.
Fire crews from Oelwein and a couple of other area departments, were called out just before 4:30 this morning (Tuesday, May 2), to an area near the old railroad yards.
A private storage building containing wood went up in flames, which could be seen from miles away.
The building appeared to be a total loss.
No injuries were reported.
A cause has not yet been determined.
