Lainey Wilson will be spending Thanksgiving with the NFL this year. The singer just announced that she's performing the halftime show for the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day game against the New York Giants.

Wilson broke the news on Sunday night (Oct. 13), live from the field of AT&T Stadium before the second half of the Cowboys' game against the Detroit Lions.

During her announcement, Wilson also said that an as-yet-unnamed "special guest" will be joining her for her halftime performance. "It's gonna be a party," the "Hang Tight Honey" star confirmed.

The Thanksgiving Day game -- and halftime show -- is an annual tradition for the Cowboys, and country stars have frequently been booked as performers during the big game. Reba McEntire, Clint Black and Toby Keith are just a few halftime performers from years past, and last year, Dolly Parton rocked the crowd with a hit-packed set and her very own Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit.

"Well, first of all, ain't nobody gonna top Dolly Parton," Wilson joked, when asked for a sneak peek of what she's got in store for the show.

"We're getting it ready, y'all. i'm so excited for y'all to see what we've been working on," she continued, turning her attention to this year's show. "It's some of the hits, and uh...you're gonna be surprised. It's gonna keep you on your toes. That's all I'm gonna say."

As always, the Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game and halftime show doubles as the official kickoff of the Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Campaign.

Wilson also spread the word about her show in an announcement video featuring her and some Cowboys cheerleaders. The country superstar even gave some high-kicks a try -- but the cheer routine was a little tough to pull off in the singer's signature bell bottoms.

It'll be a busy fall for Wilson, who's also booked to co-host the 2024 CMA Awards alongside Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning on Nov. 20.
