A GoFundMe page has been started to raise $50,000 for Kylie Rae Harris' funeral expenses and to start a college fund for her 6-year-old daughter, Corbie. The Texas-based country singer died in a car accident in New Mexico on Wednesday (Sept. 4).

Nearly $30,000 from almost 400 donations had been raised at press time. GoFundMe confirms the authenticity of the page, as well as one for 16-year-old Maria Cruz, the other driver who was killed in the crash. Fundraiser organizers Marissa Bennett and Sterling Coomer write that they are hoping to ease the burden on the 30-year-old's family and daughter.

"Kylie was always so sweet to everyone who came in her path," the introduction reads. "Anything helps and 100% of the money raised will go directly to Kylie’s family. Let’s pull together and take care of one of our own."

Harris and Cruz died in a three car crash near Taos, N.M., where the signer was scheduled to perform the next day. The driver of the third vehicle was uninjured. Police say alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor to the accident.

"Maria was an innocent girl and was gone too soon," her best friend writes at the GoFundMe page.

Upon hearing the news, dozens of Harris' friends and fellow country singers shared their grief and memories of the singer and songwriter, with many also sending prayers to the family. Taste of Country spoke with Harris about her song "Big Ol' Heartache" in January. At the time, she was eager to start a new chapter in her life and eager for fans to hear her self-titled EP, released in March.
