Jesup Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Sexual Contact with a Child

A former Jesup man will be spending his next 10 years in prison, for allegedly having sexual contact with a child.

39 year old Benjamin Steinbron had pleaded guilty on June 18th of this year, to charged of Indecent Contact with a Child, which is an Aggravated Misdemeanor, and Lascious Acts with a Child, a Felony count.

On Tuesday (Oct. 15), Steinbron was sentenced in Buchanan County District Court, to serve 10 years in prison.

After serving his prison term, Steinbron will be put on the State Sex Offender Registry, remain under supervision for the rest of his life, and undergo sex offender treatment.
