Eastern Iowa’s Independent Bookstores Draw Book Lovers Near and Far

There is nothing quite as special as walking into your favorite local bookstore; hearing the bell ring as you open up the door and gazing at the shelves upon shelves of books filling the shop.

In many instances, the best finds are not made at a major chain bookstore, but at one of the smaller independent ones.

The last Saturday in April is always Independent Bookstore Day.
