Kurt Warner's son Elijah (E.J.) is taking right after his dad in the football department. The 6 foot freshman started as Temple's Quarterback on Saturday, September 17th. It was an exciting kick off to what looks like an exciting career for the Arizona native.

We've been covering the legacy player's journey this year. You can read more about this here.

Kurt Warner is an NFL Hall of Famer who played for the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Rams, New York Giants and the Arizona Cardinals. Iowans have a special love for the legend because of his time playing for the University of Northern Iowa in the 90s.

E.J. and the Temple Owls went up against Rutgers in an exciting matchup at Lincoln Financial Field. The Scarlet Knights ended up coming out on top 16-14 against Temple.

Even though Warner's team did not come out on top, it was still an important game for the young player. He was 19 of 32 for 215 yards and one touchdown. He made his official college debut in Temple's successful outing against Lafayette earlier this month, and in two games has thrown for nearly 400 yards, 3 touchdowns, and only 1 interception.

While many Iowans couldn't be there to celebrate this career milestone, we were able to get some pictures of the entire day. My sister also goes to Temple University in Philly. After a whole lot of begging and pleading, I was able to somehow convince her to snap a few shots of the game.

So, here's what it would look like if you went to PA to watch Warner start as Quarterback.

E.J. Warner started his collegiate career on September 17th, 2022 as starting Quarterback for Temple against Rutgers.

Movies That Iowans Watch When They Feel Like Garbage

We all have a movie that no matter how many times we've seen it, we'll still sit down and watch it.
