A New Brunch Restaurant is Now Open in Cedar Rapids
You have a new brunch option in the city of Cedar Rapids! The Sunshine Bliss Brunchery officially opened its doors earlier this week.
About The Sunshine Bliss Brunchery
A few weeks ago, signage went up at 2201 16th Ave SW for a business called The Sunshine Bliss Brunchery. It's the building that was previously home to Olive Tree Restaurant (which moved to 2925 Williams Pkwy SW), Rosy's Salvadoran & Mexican Restaurant, and Godfather's Pizza. According to a March article from the Cedar Rapids Gazette, the new restaurant is owned by Victor Munoz and promises "coffee, eats, [and] sweets.”
The menu at Sunshine Bliss is fairly small, but includes classic breakfast items like French toast, pancakes, omelettes, skillets, ham steak & eggs, and biscuits & gravy. They also feature a lunch and dinner menu, which includes burgers, salads, wings, sandwiches, and more. Some of the more unique items on the menu are listed in the 'Cravings' section. There's the Fire-Candied Fritters, which feature "spicy candied bacon and habanero jam over crispy waffle fries with signature burger sauce," and the Alleyway Elote, described as being "slathered in smoky chipotle aioli, salted queso, sour cream, and cilantro."
The full menu has not yet been posted on the restaurant's official Facebook page, but it is available in the comments of a post in the Cedar Rapids Area Foodies group, which you can check out HERE.
Restaurant Hours
The Sunshine Bliss Brunchery officially opened its doors on Monday, March 30th, and is open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. In addition to dine-in services, the restaurant also features a drive-thru. For the latest updates, you can check out the business' Facebook page HERE.
