A New Coffee, Vintage, & Novelties Shop is Coming to Iowa City
A pop-up business in Johnson County is moving into its first brick-and-mortar location! According to a recent article from Downtown Iowa City, Odd Luck is set to open its doors this weekend at 112 E Washington St!
About Odd Luck
Odd Luck is a pop-up cafe and vintage & novelties shop owned by Courtney Davidhizar and Kaitlyn Amborn. The business has been making a name for itself at events and markets in the area over the past several years, and officially launched the Odd Luck Coffee mobile cart back in May. Odd Luck has been operating out of a small warehouse in Iowa City for the last year, so the move to a permanent storefront is the next big step! The article from Downtown Iowa City says that the new shop "is designed to be a gathering space blended into a retail shopping experience, with the goal of fostering a sense of community and collaboration."
In addition to "a freaky little [coffee] menu that prioritizes fun and whimsical seasonal flavors," Odd Luck will offer vintage clothing, oddities, art, gifts, knick-knacks, keychains, bumper stickers, and more. The shop will also highlight both local artists and eclectic artists from around the world.
The Grand Opening
Odd Luck will have its official "housewarming party" at 112 E Washington St in Iowa City's Ped Mall on Saturday, October 10th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. After that, the shop will be open for regular business hours: Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about Odd Luck and their grand opening, you can follow the business' Instagram HERE.
