An Iowa Hawkeye legend is once again making the state proud after it was announced that he would be inducted into the 2023 class of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Robert Gallery is a Masonville, Iowa native who saw his college football and then his NFL dreams come true. On Monday, Gallery got the news that he would be going into the College Football Hall of Fame after the National Football Foundation and the College Hall of Fame announced he would be part of the class of 2023, according to WQAD.

Gallery was a fixture on the Iowa offensive line from 2000-2003. He was a consensus All-American his senior year and also won the Outland Trophy given to college football's best offensive lineman, according to WQAD. Gallery was also named the Big Ten offensive lineman of the year in 2003 and was first-team All-Big Ten in his final three years at Iowa. During his time at Iowa, Gallery helped the Hawkeyes go 28-10 overall, and 17-7 in Big Ten play. In his final year at Iowa, the Hawkeyes won 10 games and beat Florida in the Outback Bowl, according to WQAD.
