When Is The Market After Dark?

This year's Market After Dark is Saturday, August 29th, from 6:30 to 11 p.m. in downtown Cedar Rapids. The market will feature over 120 different vendors with plenty of food, drinks, art, and more! Plus, there will be live entertainment and yard games to play at Greene Square Park!

Remember, Market After Dark is a rain-or-shine event, so check the forecast and bring an umbrella if needed. Also, remember market rules include no pets, coolers, outside beverages, or chairs are permitted.

Market After Dark Beverage Policy

Market After Dark is the only downtown Cedar Rapids Farmers Market with an open container policy. Rules state that only beverages from beverage tents or participating market restaurants inside the venue can be consumed. Persons 21 and over will receive a wristband at the market. Beverage vendors will accept both cash and cards.

All alcohol purchases will be served in an official Market After Dark cup. Open container will end at 10:30 p.m.

MAIN STAGE (4th Ave and 5th Street)

  • Diamond Empire Band - 6:30 p.m.
  • Lighted Ballerinas with Prestige Dance - 9:15 to 9:30 p.m.

LOCAL STAGE (3rd Ave and 2nd Street)

  • Eastern Iowa Arts Academy - 6:30 p.m.
  • Lighted Ballerinas with Prestige Dance - 8 p.m.
  • Redemption Band - 8:30 p.m.
