Caitlin Clark Makes Back-to-School Special for Iowa Children

The power of Caitlin Clark and her influence isn't just felt on the basketball court. On Monday, it was felt by students getting ready to go back to school in Iowa.

Clark has stated how important it is for her to use her star power to help children. The Des Moines Register reports that on Monday, she helped kids in the school district where she grew up.

What School Did Caitlin Clark Visit in Iowa?

The Register reports that Clark visited McCombs Middle School on Monday to unveil a brand new multi-use community court at the school. The school is the second of four Des Moines area schools that will get one of the new courts. The Caitlin Clark Foundation also worked with several of Clark's sponsors to hand out school supplies for the upcoming school year.

Who Did Caitlin Clark Work With?

According to the Register, Clark's Foundation worked with DMPS, Hy-Vee, and Musco Lighting to install the new court at the school. It features a full-length basketball court, a built-in soccer goal, and the Caitlin Clark Foundation logo in the middle.

The Caitlin Clark Foundation teamed up with Nike, Scholastic, Gatorade, and Meals of the Heartland to provide students with a book bag filled with school supplies, a book of their choice, a Gatorade bottle, and food, according to the Register.

What Other Schools Will Get a New Court?

The Register reports that Weeks Middle School was the first school to get one of Clark's new courts. Callahan Middle School and Hiatt Middle School will also get new courts in the future.
