2022 marks the 20th year local favorite Jim McDonough has been bringing holiday joy by way of music to fans in his home state of Iowa. It's just been announced he will again be circling our state and decking the halls of popular venues for his annual tour starting this November!

It's not even Halloween yet, so if you're finding it WAY too early to be thinking about Christmas, you're likely not alone. October is just a few days away, but those who are ready to get their hands on tickets to this annual presentation and spectacle of festive favorites also know that it will be here before we know it and that tickets will go fast. All shows, including the one in Cedar Rapids on December 10 at the Paramount Theatre, are on sale now!

According to a media release from the McDonough team, this year's stage production is brand new for 2022, and will "deliver the message of Christmas in a production suited for all generations."

I’m absolutely thrilled to resume this special holiday tradition, and to do so as I celebrate my twentieth year in show business is extra meaningful,” McDonough said. “We’re pulling out all the stops to make sure this year’s show is fitting of this milestone anniversary,” he continued. “With a new stage set and the most spectacular musical arrangements we’ve ever brought to the stage, it’s sure to be the grandest event of the season!

According to Jim McDonough's website, his annual holiday tour has become an Iowa staple after the musician spent stints as a high school band director, cruise ship entertainer, and air traffic controller. He then began selling his distinctive brand of soothing piano music in gift shops in eastern Iowa and is now taking his brand of holiday cheer across the Hawkeye state.
