Iowans Can Now Hang With Cats While Sipping Coffee

Have you ever heard of Coffee Cats? It is the first cat Cafe in Iowa! It's located in Des Moines Iowa, and you can literally play with cats and have your morning coffee. "Coffee Cats is an innovative and distinctive approach to a coffee shop" according to their website. You can enjoy your beverage of choice in their coffee shop or in the surrounding of feline friends.

I don't want to lie to you and pretend to be a giant fan of cats. They're kind of indifferent to me. They're cool, they don't bother me, but I'm not the kind of guy who wants to run out and hang out with 20 of them at a time. I'll leave that to my fiance... I do however live in a house with 5 cats (crazy I know) and I've learned to appreciate them. I've even learned to care for the little stinkers.

If you are a fan of cats or just want to try a different way to enjoy a coffee, cup of tea, a smoothie, or an Italian soda, this place is for you. What a cool and unique idea to give these animals a place to live.

How it works is you pay $10 as a "cover fee" to hang out for an hour in their cat lounge. This $10 is what helps them house the cats and help care for them. They actually care for around 10-12 cats.
