Iowa State Players Hope To End NFL Draft Curse
The 2019 NFL Draft begins tonight and if you're a football fan, the only time that's more exciting is the first game of the season and the playoffs, if your team is fortunate enough to make the playoffs.
Iowa State fans are excited to learn where two of their players will land during the draft. Iowa State hasn't had a player selected in the NFL Draft since 2014...call it a curse, or whatever you want, but it certainly looks like it will come to an end.
Wide Receiver, Hakeem Butler could be ISU's first 1st-round pick since 1973! At 6’5, Butler, with a 4.48-second 40-yard dash speed, there's no doubt that he's a STUD and could be a star in the NFL.
Running Back, David Montgomery looks to make a splash in the NFL Draft as well. At, 5'11', 216lbs..the man is a "bruiser", that'll run defensive backs over like a freight train coming down the tracks. He's a projected 2nd or 3rd round pick. Any team that gets him in the 3rd or later, will be getting a "steal".
So, kick back, relax and enjoy the draft football fans...and hope your favorite college players go to your favorite NFL team!
