Last month, a story about a Iowa State Fair patron getting banned from the fair for life went viral. Lost in the whole story, what about the boy that was accused of abusing a pig? There was a video of it, afterall. Well now we know what exactly happened.

The boy videotaped lashing a pig at the Iowa State Fair was helping his family move the animal and was not an FFA competitor. This coming from a top fair official.

Because of this, the Iowa State Fair Board will not take action against the 11-year-old. So says Gary Slater, fair manager and CEO.

The video was taken by Des Moines resident Wheaten Mather on the first Friday of the fair, this prompted him to approach the fair CEO, share the video, and subsequently get banned after he became hostile.

After the incident, PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, issued a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible.

Fair officials said the pig was examined by an employee in the state veterinarian's office and was all right.

Does this mean the case closed? It appears to be.
